Support Us
  • I’m a foster parent in need of support. How can I get plugged in?

You are why we are here- we look forward to supporting you! For specific requests and/or to schedule a time to come by one of our resource centers, fill out the Request Form and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

  • I have items I’d like to donate- now what?

Thank you for thinking of Foster Village for your new and like new donations! We keep an updated list of items we are accepting HERE. Please note that we only accept new and “like new” donations (ie- a high quality stroller that is still in great condition). When we receive a mountain of donations to sort through it can be overwhelming to our small team and counterproductive to our mission. Our reason for accepting ‘consignment quality’ donations is that it allows us to provide quality, name brand items that are often cost prohibitive for some families. Items like quality clothing in great condition, pricey baby gear, and strollers in good condition are appreciated as needed. Since we distribute such a high volume of beds and car seats we only accept those new to ensure safety. As another option for gently used items, we have created a community Facebook group called Foster Village Swap where folks can post items to donate directly to a foster family!

  • We’d like to host a donation drive for new items- what are your most needed items?

Wonderful, thank you! We keep an updated list of the items we are needing HERE and we can provide you with any promotional materials and lists that you can share. Email us at so we can chat!

  • How do I volunteer?

We love our volunteers! They are what keep this crazy train running :) Please check out our current list of volunteer opportunities HERE. And if you have a special skill or expertise that you’d like to offer, please feel free to contact us with details:

  • We need a Foster Village in our city/town- how can we start one?

So glad you asked! We have an Affiliate Program that allows other cities to replicate our model and materials. To check out our current locations and application process, please visit

  • I’m interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent- now what?

A willingness to learn more is the best place to start! We recommend researching your local child placement agencies and attending orientations to get a feel for which agency is the best fit. Recommendations from current foster parents is a great place to start! Many of our volunteers start with us as a way to get a better feel for what it’s like to be a foster family and later go on to get licensed- So volunteering is a great first step as well.

  • Where are you located?

Our main resource center (Oak Haven) is located at 15400 Fitzhugh Rd. Dripping Springs 78620. We also have a satellite location at a church in Round Rock. Please contact us to schedule a time to come by either location!

  • How can I request a weighted blanket and/or therapeutic toys?

Check out our Project SOOTHe page for more info and the request form- We would love to help.

  • What is your greatest need?

Great question! Our organization is completely funded by the community and private foundations (we do not receive any state funding). Our goal is to meet the many unique emergency needs that come our way quickly and efficiently. A large percentage of the time the requests are for items that must be purchased new (we only provide new car seats, beds, mattresses and other safety related items which makes up the majority of our requests). When the community contributes financial donations, however big or small, it allows us to continue meeting these urgent needs. Visit HERE to make an online donation or to become a Monthly Partner.

  • Can someone from Foster Village come and speak at our (insert: school, church, MOPS group, small group, community group, etc)?
