Foster Village Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides holistic wraparound support to children and caregivers involved in the child welfare system. We equip families with basic necessities, connect them with ongoing therapeutic support, and advocate for community awareness to bridge the gaps in child welfare.

Our close-knit team is made up of Child Development and Social Work professionals, former/current foster parents who are trained in trauma-informed care, and passionate child welfare advocates. We have two multi-use resource centers, one in Dripping Springs and one in North Austin. And we have affiliate locations throughout the U.S. We strive to be an inviting and safe space for everyone.

Executive Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our fast-paced nonprofit organization as an Executive Assistant to our CEO and key directors. Ideal candidate has prior experience in an administrative role and proficiency in project management technology, email communication, and basic understanding of financial administration. As the Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the leadership team in their daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication throughout the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on society through nonprofit work, specifically in child welfare.

Hours: This role is currently a part-time position, 20-25 hrs/week, hybrid remote and in-office hours at our Dripping Springs resource center (15400 Fitzhugh Rd.).

Intern Opportunities

Social Work Internship

We are accepting applications for social work internships to contribute time, expertise, and research to our programs that support foster, adoptive, kinship, and reunifying families. Interns will work alongside our on-staff social worker(s). This is currently an unpaid internship. 

Occupational Therapy Internship

We are accepting applications for interns who have some experience or educational background in pediatric occupational therapy. We do not have a licensed OT to supervise this role. Intern would work alongside an on-staff LMSW who oversees our Project SOOTHe program.
