Caring for kids from hard places does not have to be a journey you take alone. There are others just like you who understand what the journey is like and are here to be a community of support for you.

At Foster Village, we help bring this community together and provide fellowship, camaraderie, relief and resources for foster, kinship, and adoptive parents who need to know they are not alone.

We regularly host community events, including:

  • Mom Gatherings
  • Dad Gatherings
  • Caregiver Gatherings
  • Parents’ Night Out Events
  • Play Dates
  • Family Gatherings
  • Equip Workshops (gain tools and knowledge from experts)

These events are open to all! Browse the events feed below to find an upcoming event near you. We would love for you to join us!

Monthly Gatherings

Our monthly Moms Gathering is a time for foster, kinship, and adoptive moms to connect and decompress. Get a babysitter or bring the kids for great food, drinks, and good conversation with other like-minded mommas.

We hold regular Parents' Night Out events for current foster and kinship caregivers. We know the difficulty of finding safe & approved childcare for your kiddos. Sign up now for our upcoming PNO to enjoy an evening off while our team of caring volunteers and staff host a fun-filled night for your kids.

Post-adopt parents, if you've adopted over a year ago, we have a waitlist available for you. If we have spots available after all current foster parents have signed up, we'll let you know!

Person-centered thinking is an approach to communication that honors each individual, building on their strengths, gifts, talents, skills, and contributions to create goals and a plan to achieve them. Our Caregiver Support Coordinator, Talya Hines, will teach you the PCT model to help you understand how to support the children in your care and other people involved in the foster care system, like caseworkers and therapists.
