We understand that getting started as a foster parent can be overwhelming. Not only are you navigating everything that comes with caring for a child, but you are also learning new systems and caring for the unique needs of each child (many of whom have experienced trauma). Below, we have compiled a list of resources, including reading materials, trauma-informed care and child development resources, sensory calming techniques and basic child care resources.

This is a live list that is updated periodically to provide you with resources for support after the initial days of your placement. If you know of any additional resources that you would like to see added, please let us know.
