Annual Grow the Village Gala

Grow the Village Gala is one of our favorite nights of the year – an evening when our community comes together for fellowship, celebration, and to raise support for vulnerable families in our city and beyond. We love hosting this beautiful event and connecting with those who are passionate about creating brighter futures for children and families in our community.

Join us for dinner and drinks, inspiring guest speakers, silent auction, and an exciting live auction with the Cowboy Auctioneers. Then, stay for our after-party featuring live music and dancing with The Motts. It will be an unforgettable evening!

October 17, 2024 at Canyonwood Ridge in Dripping Springs from 6pm-11pm. Cocktail attire recommended.

Speakers

Angela Garcia

Emcee

Angela Garcia grew up in the great state of Texas. She went to Marble Falls High School where she excelled in academics and athletics. Angela then attended The University of Texas on an athletic scholarship and was a member of the UT women’s golf team. She received a degree in journalism from Texas and graduated with Honors.

After college Angela worked for the governor of Texas in his appointments office before continuing to work as a broadcast journalist. She worked as an on-air reporter and host for FOX Sports, NBC and Golf Channel and finally SiriusXM where she had her own radio show.

Now her passions are taking care of her 4-year-old son, 6-year-old-daughter and her husband who she says is the best! Angela’s husband is a professional golfer and the family enjoys traveling the world cheering him on. In addition to her family, Angela is passionate about giving back to her community and beyond. Angela is the founder of The UGLI Foundation and is determined to end bullying and create a better and brighter world for everyone. Angela is also the co-founder of the Sergio and Angela Garcia Foundation which supports various organizations that help children, foster families and growing the game of golf. Angela credits her parents who raised her to be kind, compassionate, generous and always striving to do better.

In addition, Angela sits on the board of the Save Muny Foundation and is a co-chair of the American Heart Association of Austin Circle of Red Campaign.

Gaelin Elmore

Keynote Speaker

Gaelin Elmore is a dynamic and nationally sought-after keynote speaker, trainer, and thought leader. He works with organizations and people to become belonging-informed to help children overcome trauma and unleash their potential. Gaelin's passion and energy for his work stems from his heart for justice and his own lived experience. His belonging journey has led Gaelin to the National Football League and now stages, board rooms, and organizations all across the country, aiming to inspire, encourage, and equip others to think differently about their work and its long-term impact on others.

Gaelin now lives in Eden Prairie, MN, where he gets to experience the purest form of belonging as a husband to his wife, Micaela, and dad to their two daughters, Laniah and Tatum.

Your tax-deductible support enables Foster Village to maximize donations and increase funding for the vulnerable youth and families throughout our community. All underwriters receive recognition in promotion and marketing for the Grow the Village Gala including the event website, event-related communications, as well as throughout the event program. All underwriting opportunities also include 2 tickets to join us at the event to see what your generosity helps make possible.
