Hat Creek to Help Children in Foster Care with New Giveback Burger

Emerging Texas-based burger brand to donate $1 from every Giveback Burger sold to Foster Village, partner with Cowboys star Micah Parsons to rally support

Hat Creek Burger Company is carrying on its mission to provide support in all its communities by partnering with Foster Village, a Texas-based non-profit organization, to help foster homes that often struggle with everyday needs.

Now through June 26, Hat Creek is introducing the Giveback Burger, where $1 from each of these special burgers sold will go to support Foster Village. Eating a craft burger featuring two 100% natural all-beef patties with no hormones or antibiotics, creamy melted pepper jack cheese, three thick slices of fresh avocado, crispy pickles and tangy honey mustard on a warm and salty pretzel bun never felt so right!

“Our goal has always been to deliver a fun place for fellowship with quality food, but we also realize that those good times can be harder to find when you don’t have stability at home,” said Founder and President Drew Gressett. “We know that every little bit helps and that’s what we’re aiming to do with the Giveback Burger. I mean, who wouldn’t want to eat a delicious burger while giving back to their fellow Texans?”

One person eager to help is Dallas Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons. The gridiron superstar recently became a dad and now understands better than ever that every child deserves a loving family.

Parsons is teaming up with Hat Creek to raise awareness of the struggles for foster children and families across Texas by launching the Giveback Burger as part of National Foster Care Month.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my family, so I’m proud to join Hat Creek in helping support foster children across Texas,” Parsons said. “It’s important for these children to have that base, so whether you’re a Cowboys fan or not, come try a Giveback Burger and help us help these kids.”

Foster Village Founder and CEO Chrystal Smith believes support for foster children and homes is not top of mind, so she’s grateful for Hat Creek and Parsons helping her organization and raising awareness for National Foster Care Month.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d get someone like Micah Parsons to bring light to the work we do at Foster Village,” Smith said. “I can’t say enough about Hat Creek for their unwavering support and generosity. They get wanting to bring people together and by offering the Giveback Burger and getting Micah behind it, more people will be aware of the needs facing foster children and foster homes.”
